The Justice Minister could stop a controversial pick-up artist from entering the State - in the interest of national security or public policy.
Self-styled dating guru Julien Blanc has been told he won't be allowed into Britain - after an online petition drew more than 150 thousand signatures.
While the Justice Department won't comment on individual cases, a spokesperson said it is possible to deny entry to the state.
An online petition here - seeking to stop Mr Blanc from coming to Ireland to host a Dublin based bootcamp next summer - has gotten almost 8,000 signatures.
His views have been condemned internationally as inciting violence against women.
