The Housing Minister has defended a two-month delay to 22 modular homes for homeless people currently being constructed in Ballymun in North Dublin.

People were due to move in before Christmas, but itÂ’s been confirmed today that the homes wonÂ’t be ready until the end of this month.

The modular houses – which are being constructed in 25 days – will be for people currently on the homeless list and are the first of 135 to be built in the Dublin area.

The Housing Minister Alan Kelly says the delay is down to previous protests and bad weather.
