Next year's National Ploughing Championships will be held in Tullamore, Co. Offaly.

This week, 281,000 people visited this year's event in Ratheniska, Co. Laois - which is up 1,500 on last year's total visitor figures.

The National Ploughing Association has described next year's site in Screggan, as 'superb' and 'centrally' located.

The 85th National Ploughing Championships will take place from the 20th until the 22nd of September 2016.
