It's emerged a police investigation into Sir Cliff Richard has 'increased significantly in size' since it started.
Last year, officers in England searched the singer's home in Berkshire in connection with an alleged historical sex offence.
At the time, the 74 year-old denied any wrongdoing.
This evening, Cliff Richard has issued a statement describing the allegations as "absurd and untrue " and saying he has no idea where they came from.
He says he has never assaulted anyone and remains confident the truth will prevail.
Sky's crime correspondent Martin Brunt says the update on the investigation appeared in a letter from the head of South Yorkshire Police.
