Police in the US are seeking two men in relation to the shooting of a Garda in New Orleans.

Brian Hanrahan, who is from Tipperary but based in Newcastle West Garda station, was shot twice when he was robbed while on holidays earlier this week.

His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

Police have released surveillance footage of two persons of interest and are seeking the public's help in tracing them.
