The ESB is considering knocking down the Poolbeg Chimneys in Dublin Bay – an idea that’s been met with shock and disgust by locals.
An Environmental Group describes the idea as ‘craziness’, as the ESB says it’s examining whether keeping them is the best use of resources.
The ESB says the power station has been out of action since March 2010 - theyÂ’re now reviewing possible options for the site, and theyÂ’ll decide whether to knock them down by the end of the year.
The Environment Group of Ringsend describes the idea as ‘craziness’ saying it has consistently asked the ESB to save the iconic structures.
