A postmortem examination will take place on the body of a man found in the MacGillycuddy Reeks in Kerry on Saturday.

The man, believed to have been in his 50s, was discovered on Carrauntoohil mountain. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

A post mortem is due to be carried out at Tralee General Hospital today.

The circumstances surrounding his death have not yet been confirmed.
