The President has paid tribute to the Irish Rugby Team who have won the Grand Slam for the just the third time.
Michael D Higgins says it is a fantastic achievement, not only for the team and their coaches, but for everyone who enjoys and supports Irish sport.
They achieved a clean sweep of victories in this year's six nations with a win over England in London.

President Higgins thanked the team for providing a wonderful memory on a Saint Patrick's Day never to be forgotten.
