A ceremony to remember those who lost their lives in service of Ireland during wars or peace keeping missions, has taken place in Dublin.
The annual National Day of Commemoration ceremony at the Royal Hospital in Kilmainham was attended by the President Micheal D Higgins, The Taoiseach and Government Cabinet Ministers.
Next of kin of those being remembered, relatives of 1916 leaders and Irish Defence Force veterans also attended the official service.
