A shade of purple has officially been named in honour of Prince.

The international Pantone Institute has teamed up with the star's estate to pay tribute to what they're calling "his in-delible mark on music, art, fashion and culture".

The purple, which is the same= shade of his famous Yamaha piano, will be called Love Symbol number-2.
