An investigation is underway after a car belonging to a prison officer was petrol bombed in Co. Cork last night.

The attack occurred at a house in Dromond Drive in Blarney at around 12.30.

No one was injured in the incident but the car was damaged.

There are reports that two men fled the scene.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to contact them.
