Professional clowns are up in arms over the new movie IT saying it could damage their career.

Clowns International representatives Rob Bowker and Andy Davis appeared on ITV's This Morning yesterday where they hit out at the latest adaptation of Stephen King's creepy novel, claiming it is undermining their work.

But the show then received a barrage of complaints from people saying it triggered their coulrophobia -  or fear of clowns!

IT has raked in and estimated $117.2 (€97) million in the US, exceeding the expectation of around $70 (€58) million.
