Cork protesters are vowing to continue to block the installation of water meters for as long as it takes.

Gardai were called to the Ashbrook Heights estate in Togher yesterday, after up to a hundred people prevented Irish Water contractors from gaining access to the estate.

One resident taking part, Suzanne O'Flynn says their peaceful protest is continuing today, with Irish Water still not able to enter their estate.

She says she's concerned over health risks of the water meters being installed.
