A large number of criminal activities - including incidents of attempted murder - drug dealing and cybercrime - were successfully tackled last year following information provided by calls to Crimestoppers.
138 calls were made on average each month to the free service which is open to the public from 9am until 9pm every day.
Calls are answered by Gardai and people don't have to leave their names.
