New research shows more than a quarter of Irish drivers admit to texting while behind the wheel.

The study by Aviva Insurance shows 84 percent of motorists use electronic devices while driving.

And 15 percent of us are guilty of checking social media while in control of a car.

Aviva's Michael Bannon says it's astonishing to find that so many drivers are taking such risks, given all that we know about road safety.
