Radiohead say their 'hearts go out' to fans attacked while listening to their new album at a record store in Istanbul.

It's reported a group of Islamist extremists beat up staff and customers for drinking alcohol and listening to music during the holy month of Ramadan.

The band described the assault, at Velvet IndieGround Records, as an act of 'violent intolerance'.

Their new album 'A Moon Shaped Pool' was released in May.
