Last-minute talks to try to avoid a rail strike on Friday have continued through the night.

Ianrod Eireann and unions have been negotiating at the Workplace Relations Commission, and talks adjourned just before 5 o'clock this morning.

Drivers plan to stop work for three hours on Friday morning and on November 6th in a dispute over past productivity.

Talks are due to resume at 2 this afternoon.
