Thousands are in capital city this weekend to celebrate the Dublin Gay Pride Festival.
The festival's centre-piece, the Pride parade, took place this afternoon.
Tens of thousands took part in the march through Dublin city, with organisers saying a record number of businesses participated this year.
After the gunning down of 49 people in Orlando at an LGBT nightclub earlier this month, many of those who took part today said it was in solidarity with those, unable to express their sexuality.
Those who marched said marching in the parade has become more important as LGBT continue to face discrimination around the globe.
