UN Officials are meeting with the 21 year old migrant who was attacked in Cloverhill prison this week.
A rally has been taking place this morning at the Department of Justice organised by the Anti-Racism Network, calling for the release of the Afghan man Walli Ullah Safi.
He was remanded in custody after he was found on a road near Naas in June - it's believed he'd arrived as a stowaway on a lorry.
