Authorities in the US say rapper Coolio has been arrested after a loaded gun was found in a carry-on bag during screening at LA international airport.

To start with they detained a different man - who said the bag was his - but then worked out it belonged to the rapper who'd already got on a plane.

He was arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm by a felon.

He was booked under his real name of Artis Leon Ivey Junior.

His manager is yet to comment.
