A 12 year old boy in the US could be the first person ever to ask for more junk mail.

Mathew Flores asked his local postman in Salt Lake City for more of it, because he loves reading and couldn't afford to buy books or pay the bus fare to the library.

So mailman Ron Lynch sent out an appeal to his Facebook friends for books for Mathew.

But his request was shared more than 13 thousand times, and Mathew's had hundreds of books arrive from all over the world, from India, Australia and the UK.

Mathew now has his own proper book shelf, and he's promised to read every single one and to share them with other kids.
