Elaine O'Hara's family have issued a statement expressing relief that justice has been served for Elaine.

They say they will still suffer her loss and miss her greatly.

The family say they hope that the case will highlight the need for people to be careful when communicating using the internet and social media.

In the statement the O'Hara family thank the Gardai, the prosecution team in the case, as well as victim support at court - in the case.

And they ask the media to respect their need for privacy as they attempt to move on from what they describe as "a heartbreaking and distressing period".
