It's been an old wives tale for years that pregnant women who have no morning sickness are carrying a boy.

Now a study of 80 women has added weight to the claim, showing that women carrying a girl have much worse symptoms.

It's because the baby's gender affects the mother's immune system, female embryos produce more chemicals which trigger inflammation in the mother
