An official body has been set up to oversee the two referendums due to be held this may.
The Referendum Commission will oversee the running of the votes, educate voters about the issues, and encourage people to vote.
The body will be chaired by High Court justice Kevin Cross, who was appointed to the High Court by the current government just over three years ago:

A formal date for the referendums on same-sex marriage, and on lowering the age for presidential candidates, hasn't yet been announced.
