Former minister Regina Doherty and Fianna Fáil front bencher Timmy Dooley are among Taoiseach Micheál Martin's 11 nominees to the Seanad.
Fianna Fáil's nominations include Lorraine Clifford Lee and councillors Mary Fitzpatrick and Erin McGreehan.
Joining Regina Doherty for Fine Gael are Councillors Aisling Dolan, Emer Currie and Mary Seery Kearney.
While the Greens have had Clare Cllr Roisin Garvey and Kildare's Vincent P Martin, who's Catherine Martin's brother, appointed.
Independent Eileen Flynn has been appointed and becomes the first ever female traveller member of the Oireachtas.
