The cost of renting in Dublin is higher than the peak of the boom for the first time.
The PRTB finds rents are almost half a per cent higher than in 2007, after a 2 per cent increase in the last quarter of 2015.
Nationally, rents rose by almost 10 per cent last year - although growth is slowing.
