Lucinda Creighton says she is a victim of a smear campaign and she believes Fine Gael are behind it.

The complaint relates to a ‘benefit in kind’ that she allegedly received.

The Renua leader believes it was lodged to the Standards in Public Office Commission and leaked to the press to coincide with the General Election.

She has also spoken out against the Sunday Independent, which published details of the complaint today, despite efforts by her to provide evidence that the complaint is unfounded.
