Switzerland has received a formal request from the United States to extradite seven FIFA officials arrested in Zurich.

They were detained in May as part of a U.S. investigation into alleged bribery and corruption within football's world governing body.

The Swiss Federal Office of Justice says it'll make a decision within a few weeks, after which there's also options to appeal.
