Government sources say an announcement on a cabinet reshuffle is now not likely until tomorrow.
It had been expected that the new cabinet could be announced today - and potentially as early as this lunchtime.
But it's emerged that a deal is not yet done - and that other complications have emerged which stand in the way of a deal.
A meeting of the Economic Management Council has been called - where the Taoiseach, Tánaiste and the two finance ministers could be joined by other ministers to discuss the reassignment of certain policy areas to other departments.
Meanwhile a policy document outlining the coalition's new objectives has been circulated to party advisors - whose feedback will also be needed before the final touches can be agreed.
Amidst all that Enda Kenny has Dáil business, while Joan Burton's due in the Seanad - so throw in the bureaucracy of informing the new ministers and making arrangements with Aras an Úachtarain, and the process becomes significantly held up.
Announcements MAY still be made tonight - but it appears more likely that they'll be held off until tomorrow instead.
