Off licences and supermarkets across Galway city will not sell alcohol before 3pm tomorrow.
The businesses have entered a voluntary agreement with the Gardaí for St. Patrick's Day and are not under any legal obligation.
It's hoped the move will help to prevent anti-social behaviour on the city's streets.
