A ten thousand euro reward is being offered to people who offer up significant information about stolen animals around the country.
Over the past two years almost 500 animals have been stolen in Ireland.
In one incident last year - one farmer had 17 of his 18 calves taken.
The Gardai, Crimestoppers and the Irish Farmers Association has launched a new campaign aimed at preventing more livestock theft.
Members of the public - in particular those in the farming community - are being asked to come forward if they have any information.
