The demand for new vehicles is continuing.
In March, there was a rise of 8.4 percent in private new cars being licenced for the first time, when compared to the same month in 2013.
There was a large increase in new imported cars being licenced, which were up over 18 percent.
And the number of goods vehicles licenced for the first time jumped over 50 percent.
Over 20 thousand new vehicles were licenced for the first time in March, an increase of 15.5 percent on March 2013.
The majority of new vehicles were diesel.
