Tributes have been paid to those who fought in the Easter Rising at a special event in Dublin city centre this afternoon.

A group representing relatives of those who took part in the 1916 rebellion, says it wants its legacy to be remembered for generations to come.

A wreath was laid at the Garden of Remembrance on Parnell Square in Dublin this afternoon where a minute's silence was observed.
