The Government Task Force on Emergency Planning says the water levels in our rivers have improved and are beginning to stabilise following the weekend flooding.
However, it warns that these conditions could be short lived - as Met Eireann says Wednesday and Friday could bring more storms.
Local Authorities remain on high alert and the National Co-ordination Group says it will continue to monitor the situation closely.
