A row over nursing registration fees will be discussed at a meeting of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland today.
A 50 per cent hike in the cost sparked objections from the Irish Nursing and Midwives Organisation, which yesterday held a series of lunchtime protests over the issue.
It wants the new 150 euro charge cut back to last year's level of 100 euro.
Around half of the 60 thousand registered nurses around the country have already paid the higher fee.
