The Ministry of the Interior of the Russian Federation today shared the news that they would be sending a puppy to Paris after a police dog was killed during the week in the French capital.
Seven-year-old Diesel was, according to French police force, killed by the suspects in a pre-dawn raid in Paris on Wednesday morning aimed at finding those responsible for planning last week's attacks.
Tributes were paid to the slain service animal, with the police adding that her work had been indispensable in searching out explosives on previous operations, so she would be sadly missed.
As a gesture of solidarity, Russian forces today announced that they would be sending a puppy to Paris to help "the French people and the French police in the fight against terrorism".
