Russian Forces Seize Control Of Europe's Largest Power Plant

Russian troops are now in control of Europe's largest nuclear power station, according to Ukrainian officials.

Shelling overnight caused a fire to break out at the Zaporizhzhia plant.

The blaze was extinguished and radiation levels are said to be normal.

But, officials warn that if the Zaporizhzhia plant were to explode, it would cause devastation 10 times worse than the Chernobyl  disaster.

Ukraine's president says "only urgent action by Europe" will stop the Russian invasion.

"If there is an explosion that's the end for everyone, the end of Europe, the evacuation of Europe."

"Do not allow the death of Europe happen at a catastrophe at a nuclear power station."
