Ryanair pilots are pushing for trade union recognition.

It comes after errors in how pilots were scheduled led to the cancellation of thousands of flights.

The Sunday Business Post reports IALPA's held meetings with over 1000 pilots to discuss joining the union.

Many expressed a desire to terminate the Employee Representative Council used by the airline to negotiate with pilots.
