Ryanair is calling on the EU to take action over a 6 day strike by French air traffic controllers that has caused the cancellation of hundreds of flights across Europe.
Belgian air traffic controllers have also joined the strike adding to the widespread delays and cancellations.
More than 250 Ryanair flights have been cancelled so far today - with 28 of those out of Ireland.
While Aer Lingus plans to run its full schedule, it's advising passengers of serious delays.
Patricia Barton from the Commission for Aviation Regulation has this advice for affected passengers;
Airlines have to re-route passengers or refund them.
Passengers should be proactive about demanding their rights - according to Patricia Barton.
