The Department of Education will brief school managers today on their plans to reform the Junior Cycle.

The meetings come despite ongoing protests from teachers.

The ASTI and TUI have both said a document prepared by Dr Pauric Travers is not a resolution to the row - and their call for more talks with the Department has been rejected.

It's understood that groups representing students and parents will also meet Department officials today to discuss the reforms.
