Scientists say they may have a cure for Asthma within the next two decades.

Researchers at University of Southampton have identified the gene responsible for causing "twitchiness and inflammation of airways" which can trigger an attack in sufferers.

Almost one in ten people across Ireland live with the respiratory disease - with one death a week recorded as a result of Asthma here.
