The family of Sean Cox have released a video of him giving the thumbs and thanking his supporters ahead of a fundraising match at the Aviva in Dublin tomorrow.

The Meath man suffered brain injuries after he was attacked outside Anfield ahead of a Liverpool match last April.

His wife Martina says that they will look at moving him to a facility in the UK this summer when his time at the National Rehabilitation Centre in Dublin comes to an end.

Sean Cox will leave hospital for the first time to attend tomorrow's star-studded match
