Sean Cox has returned to his home in Dunboyne, Co. Meath almost two years since he was attacked outside Anfield.
The father and husband was attacked outside the Stadium in April 2018.
Sean's family have said that his journey has been challenging and difficult, however today is an important and positive milestone for them all.
He will continue to require full-time care and ongoing rehabilitation for the foreseeable future.
However the Cox family say that today is one to enjoy as they celebrate being under one roof for the first time in almost two years.
Seans wife Martina says "I can’t thank enough those who have helped Sean along the way over the past two years. Without a doubt this support has made today possible."
