A man's body found on Dollymount beach in Dublin yesterday is that of missing actor Gerry McCann.
His sister Helene O'Cleary confirmed the news this afternoon.
Gardai say it may still take some time to formally identify him using dental records however all searches for the missing man have now been called off.
