The search will resume in Athlone this morning for a man missing and feared drowned in Lough Ree.

The 30 year old from Portadown in Co. Armagh was in a small boat with two others fishing - when it capsized on Thursday.

Two men - aged 27 and 60 were recovered from the water and taken to hospital. The 27 year old man died - while the 60 year old remains in a critical condition.

Over 30 divers and 100 volunteers are involved in today's search.
