A search is underway on Mangerton mountain, in Kerry for two people.

30 members of the local Mountain Rescue team have been called out to search the mountain range.

A spokesperson for the crew says strong winds and cloud are hampering the search.

The alarm was raised when the walkers made contact with Kerry Mountain Rescue shortly after 3 o'clock this afternoon.
