Selena Gomez has opened up about her mental health in an emotional speech at the American Music Awards.

The 24 year old singer and actress was making her first public appearance since August - when she called off her world tour to deal with anxiety and depression.

While accepting the award for Favourite Female artist, she told people who are suffering - that if they're broke, they don't need to stay broken.
