More than a dozen schools North and South of the border were evacuated this morning after a series of hoax bomb threats.

5 schools - in Dublin, Cork, Limerick, Waterford and Carlow received communications claiming a device was left in their building this morning.

A further 7 schools in the North were evacuated after receiving similar threats.

No devices were found and all reports have been declared hoaxes.

Gardaí and the PSNI are investigating.
