Several people have been arrested during anti-terror raids in Brussels

Belgium's interior minister says several people have been arrested in anti-terror operations in Brussels.

The arrests were the result of an investigation into the attacks on Tuesday, which killed 31 people and injured more than 300.

Monica Fletcher was staying at a hotel near the Metro station which was bombed.

Meanwhile, a man arrested in a counter-terrorism raid in France overnight apparently has links to the suspected ringleader of the Paris attacks.

Speaking anonymously, two French officials say the 34 year-old has been wanted since January on suspicion of links to terrorism.

France's interior minister says the man was in the "advanced stages" of a plot to attack the country.

Belgium's Prime Minister's been discussing Tuesday's terror attacks with the U.S. Secretary of State - as seven people are arrested in overnight raids in the city.

John Kerry says the bombings underscore the urgency of unity in the fight against so-called Islamic State.

Police in Brussels arrested 6 people people in overnight raids in the city.
