The summer appears to have been blown off-course, as weather alerts are in place around the country today.
In Leinster, an Orange weather warning for wind is in place with gusts of up 90 to 115 kilometres possible.
A yellow rainfall Warning is in place for Munster, Connacht and Donegal.
And a yellow wind warning is in effect for those counties along with Cavan and Monaghan, where gusts of 80 to 100 kilometres an hour are possible.
